⸻ Trust Administration
Trust Administration
Although a well-drafted Trust Agreement will greatly simplify the process of carrying out your plan upon your death, a Trust Agreement is not self-executing. There are steps that must be taken in administration of every trust. Where the trust involves the sale of a business, or a complicated family situation, or is poorly drafted, it may involve more steps which will cost more money. Due to the varied nature of Trust Administration, we charge hourly to guide the successor trustee through the process, whether it involves five steps or twenty-five steps.
Small Estates
You may be able to collect the estate of a decedent without probate if it is a small estate (Under a certain amount) without the formalities of a formal probate by using a Small Estate Affidavit to collect each asset. We can assist you in this process. You may also be able to avoid probate where decedent named certain beneficiaries, or pay on death beneficiaries, or other forms of joint ownership that also avoid probate. We can help transfer these assets as well. We will use our expertise to transfer assets in the most efficient way possible.
